Friday 23 May will see a short-term road closure at the Weyhill crossroads in Andover to allow police to carry out further investigation work into a serious road traffic collision that occurred in May 2023.
The closure will be in place from 8:00am to 9:30am, and will affect the A342 Weyhill Road, Rectory Lane, and Penton Road. Officers will be revisiting the scene to conduct further enquiries as part of the ongoing investigation into the collision.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed this temporary closure is necessary to assist their efforts in gathering more information related to the incident, which took place at the same location last year.
A spokesperson said:
“We appreciate the inconvenience this may cause, but we hope that early notice will allow people to plan ahead and make use of alternative routes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
Drivers are advised to plan ahead and avoid the area during the affected time window.
