Poppy Appeal kicks off in Andover

The Royal British Legion Andover kicked off their poppy appeal in the High Street on Saturday the 29th October.

The mayor of Test Valley and the Mayor of Andover were in attendance showing their support of the Poppy Appeal.

The Andover Branch do a superb job and last year raised £43,666 and they are back at it again this year. The Royal British Legion is the UK’s leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members get together through the network of branches and clubs all over the country and overseas to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.

The Andover Branch of The Royal British Legion has been in existence since June 1921.
