Retro Night Returns to Andover with 70s-Themed Disco

After three sell-out events, Retro Night is back in Andover this month – this time bringing a 70s-themed disco to town on Friday 28 November.

Guests can expect an unforgettable evening packed with classic 70s hits played on authentic vinyl, a dazzling retro light show, plenty of dancing, photobooth fun, and nostalgic props to get everyone into the groove.

Local favourite DJ Chris Burford, a familiar name on the Andover music scene, has once again teamed up with events and marketing specialist Lauren McManus to bring another lively throwback night to town.

Their previous Retro Night events – celebrating the best of 70s and 80s music – each attracted more than 80 guests, who filled the dance floor from start to finish.

Chris said:

“I can’t wait to get back behind the decks for another Retro Night. The energy at these events is incredible – everyone’s there to have fun, sing along and dance. Seeing familiar faces return each time really shows how much the community loves a good throwback night.”

Lauren added:

“There’s a real sense of nostalgia in the air at these events. People come to relive memories, but they leave with new ones too. That mix of old and new makes Retro Night such a joy to be part of.”

The 70s Night will take place at The Royal British Legion, Andover, with tickets priced at £10. They are available from The Record Box, The Legion, or directly from Chris Burford.

Dressing up in your best 70s gear is encouraged (though not essential), and a highlights video will be shared on social media after the event.

Chris has been entertaining Andover audiences for more than 40 years at weddings, parties and local events, while Lauren launched Electric Bloom Ltd last year – a marketing and PR agency built on more than 12 years of industry experience.
