Rookwood School Celebrates Exceptional A Level Success

Rookwood School is celebrating another year of outstanding A Level results, with students and staff recognised for their commitment, talent, and resilience. This year, 43% of all grades awarded were at A*–A and 57% at A*–B, with a 100% pass rate across all subjects.

Several subjects achieved particularly remarkable outcomes. English, EPQ and Religious Studies each saw 100% of grades at A*–A, Geography achieved 100% at A*, and Economics recorded a 100% pass rate at A*–B.

University offers were equally impressive, with 96% of students receiving conditional offers for their chosen courses, meaning the vast majority secured their first-choice destinations.

Among the many success stories, Elysia is heading to Bangor University to study Marine Biology. “Rookwood has always inspired me to dream big… this brings me one step closer to becoming a marine biologist,” she said. Lara will be joining the University of York to read English, calling it “the university I had always dreamed of attending,” while Jake will study Economics at Cardiff University, reflecting on “a really enjoyable two years” with teachers who adapted their styles to help him succeed.

Headteachers and staff expressed their pride in the students’ achievements, noting that the results are a testament not only to academic excellence but also to the determination and character shown throughout their studies.

Rookwood School congratulates all students receiving their results this summer, whether moving on to university, starting an apprenticeship, or pursuing other exciting opportunities.
