This summer’s Whitchurch Silk Mill Open Gardens event is set to include over 20 private gardens; double the number which took part at the first event in 2023.
The biennial event, which will be held on Sunday, 22 June 2025 between 1pm and 5pm, will see private gardens across Whitchurch open for the public to visit to raise funds for the Silk Mill.
Sue Tapliss, Mill Director, Whitchurch Silk Mill says,
“We are delighted to be running this event again after the great success of 2023’s Silk Mill Open Gardens, which sold over 200 tickets and raised more than £2,600 for the Mill.”
“With so many new gardens taking part in the event, there will be plenty for garden lovers to see. Visitors from our last open gardens event will have plenty of new gardens to view this year, as well as catching up with how 2023 gardens are developing.”
“Thanks to all the gardeners who have volunteered to take part this year. The Silk Mill relies on fundraising events such as this to supplement its visitor and sales income and your efforts will ensure this vital element of Whitchurch’s history keeps running.”
