Today, the NHS in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight has launched this year’s spring COVID-19 vaccination campaign offering vital protection to those most at risk from the virus.
The campaign runs today until the 30th June – are you eligible?
Those eligible for free vaccinations are:
- People aged 75 years and over
- Residents in care homes
- Adults and children aged six months and over with a weakened immune system
Individuals considered to have a weakened immune system include those:
- Living with HIV
- Who have received an organ, bone marrow, or stem cell transplant
- Undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy
- With genetic conditions affecting the immune system
- Taking medications that suppress immune response
In Andover, eligible residents can receive their vaccination at the Andover Health Hub located in the Chantry Centre. You may be contacted by your GP, but you don’t have to wait for an invitation.
