Three Peaks, 24 Hours, One Cause: Austin Hawk Supports PICU

The team at Austin Hawk is preparing to take on the gruelling National Three Peaks Challenge this September, raising funds for Friends of PICU, a charity that supports the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton University Hospital.

On 20th September 2025, the group will attempt to climb the three highest peaks in the UK — Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales — all within 24 hours. In the lead-up to the event, the team has been dedicating early mornings and late evenings to training, determined to ensure they are ready for the challenge.

The cause holds special significance for the Austin Hawk team. In December 2022, the daughter of one of their colleagues received life-saving treatment at the Southampton PICU, and the charity provided invaluable support to the family during that time.

Austin Hawk, a multi-award-winning, family-run estate agency founded in 2012, is well known in the local community for its friendly, professional approach and commitment to first-class personal service. Directors Dean Austin and Robin Kapuscinski, along with their team, have helped hundreds of local people move home over the years and are proud to be supporting such a meaningful cause.

Friends of PICU plays a vital role in enhancing the care provided to critically ill children and their families, funding specialist equipment, facilities and services at the unit, which serves young patients from across the South of England and the Channel Islands.

The companies Facebook page stated:
“We are honoured to be supporting such an incredible charity. The work of Friends of PICU makes a real difference to families during the most difficult times, and we are proud to be taking on this challenge in their name. A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated — your generosity means the world to us.”
