Three weeks away from Andover’s first-ever comedy festival

For the first time in the venue’s history, The Lights will be holding a week of stand-up comedy, showcasing some of this year’s Edinburgh Fringe festival acts that will be performing at the comedy arts festival in August.

It’s also the first time a comedy festival has ever been held in Andover. Andover Comedy Festival: Before The Fringe is being held from Monday, 8 July until Friday, 12 July.

With ten comedians across five nights, the venue is packed full of laughs and live music this summer.

Monday sees Chloe Petts and Josh Weller. Chloe is a rising star in comedy and has become one of the most exciting stand-ups on the circuit and also guest stars on Sky Sports News every Saturday! Josh Weller is a viral sensation, comic book author, and failed musician turned comedian! With food from Peppones Street Food and live music from Georgie Amelia, Monday is not to be missed.

Tuesday plays host to Travis Jay and Rob Auton. Travis, a fantastic comedian, actor and radio presenter will be appearing in Supacell on Netflix. Rob Auton is a comedian, actor and poet. On the Tuesday, local poet Drew Horner will also be in the venue from 6:30pm as part of the cultural offering through the week.

Thursday brings Garrett Millerick & Nic Sampson to The Lights for the very first time. Both are rising stars who regularly perform across the globe. Both fantastic writers and stand-ups will be joined by Maddison A who is performing on both Thursday and Friday from 6:30pm.
