An inquest has opened into the death of 19-year-old Taylor Connors from Andover, who tragically died in a crash near Leckford in June.

Taylor was riding his motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a van at the junction of Windmill Hill Lane and the A30 at around 8.30 pm on Monday 9 June. Emergency services attended the scene, but sadly he died from his injuries.
At a short hearing held at Winchester Coroner’s Court, the cause of death was given as multiple injuries from a road traffic collision. The full inquest has been scheduled for April next year.
Taylor’s family described him as “a bright light” who brought love and laughter to everyone around him. In a tribute, they said he had a rare ability to make people feel seen and valued and that the memories he leaves behind will stay with them forever.
Police arrested the driver of the van – a 45-year-old man from Alresford – on suspicion of several offences, including driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He has since been released while investigations continue.
Hampshire Police are still appealing for any witnesses or dashcam footage. Anyone with information should call 101 and quote reference 44240239891.
