Vixens Smash 24-Hour Fundraiser – Then Win 6–0 Just Hours Later

The Andover New Street Vixens Ladies have completed an extraordinary weekend of fundraising and football success, raising over £2,000 to support the team before securing a dominant 6–0 victory on the pitch just hours later.

The squad took on a gruelling 24-hour running challenge to help fund the future of the team, with players and supporters completing laps throughout the day and night. The initiative, launched to cover essential costs such as equipment, training facilities and matchday expenses, saw an impressive level of community backing.

After finishing the round-the-clock run, the Vixens showed no signs of fatigue as they took to the field for a 2pm kick-off the same day. Despite having completed the exhausting challenge, the players delivered a standout performance, sweeping aside their opponents with a convincing 6–0 win.

Team organisers praised the determination of the squad and the generosity of those who donated. The funds raised will help secure the team’s future, ensuring that local women and girls continue to have access to football opportunities within the community.

A spokesperson for the club said the team were “overwhelmed by the support” and that the successful fundraiser, followed by such a strong win, had given the squad a “huge boost both financially and morally”.
