Volunteers Bring Christmas Spirit to Enham Trust in Summer Heat

The Enham Trust near Andover has received an early dose of Christmas spirit, thanks to an army of volunteers from National Highways and 31 supply chain partners.

Despite the summer heat, 54 volunteers came together over three days to spruce up the charity’s Christmas tree field, which raises vital funds during the festive season.

Teams worked on repairing fence posts, planting pumpkin seedlings and sunflowers, thinning trees, and clearing brambles and vegetation. Volunteers also created a new access road and turning circle to improve the site’s accessibility.

The project was led by Matt Kuzemko (Littlewood Group) and Mia Christopher (Jackson Civil Engineering), with materials and equipment provided by companies including Chaffin Works, FM Conway, Holcim, and HW Martin. A raffle on the day raised £205 for the charity.

Enham Trust, which supports disabled people to live, work and enjoy life independently, praised the volunteers for their efforts in sweltering conditions.
