Four-day summer initiative will offer £2.50 taster sessions across a wide range of local clubs.

Test Valley Borough Council has announced a brand-new Youth Sports Week, running from Monday 11 to Thursday 14 August 2025, aimed at encouraging young people to get active and try new sports during the summer break.
Delivered in partnership with local clubs, the week will feature affordable £2.50 taster sessions in everything from padel tennis and trampolining to cricket and BMX. The initiative hopes to showcase the wide variety of sporting opportunities available across the borough.
Councillor Terese Swain, Portfolio Holder for Community and Leisure, said:
“Youth Sports Week is a fantastic way to shine a light on the brilliant clubs we have here in Test Valley and to give young people the chance to try something new.”
Participating clubs include Red Hot Gymnastics, Wellow Tennis Club, Headlands Padel, East Anton Cricket, Starlight Trampoline and Gymnastics Club, Andover Cricket Club, Romsey Hockey Club and Andover BMX Club.
Youth Sports Week aims to boost participation in physical activity, help children build confidence, and connect families with their local sporting community.
Spaces are limited and expected to fill fast. Registration details can be found at:
