This February half-term, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will take to the stage at Arlington Arts Centre, Newbury, in a spectacular £40,000 production. This enchanting musical promises to captivate audiences of all ages with its timeless story, stunning costumes, and show-stopping performances.
Among the talented cast are two of the youngest performers, eight-year-old Bea Godfrey-Davies and Annabel Robinson-Hanson from Andover, who will share the role of Chip the teacup. Both are thrilled to be part of this iconic production and eager to bring Chip’s cheeky charm to life on stage.

Adding to the magic, Andover-based artist Tamsin Godfrey-Davies has been commissioned to create the show’s enchanting costumes. Through intricately painted designs and beautifully sculpted details, she has transformed each of the enchanted household characters with her artistic flair and attention to detail. Speaking about her involvement, Tamsin said:
“It has been an absolute joy to bring these costumes to life. Designing for such a beloved production is both a challenge and a privilege, and I can’t wait for audiences to see the magic on stage.”

This dazzling production offers something for everyone—laughter, love, breathtaking performances, and the unforgettable songs audiences know and love. Whether a fan of the classic Disney film or simply seeking a memorable family outing this half-term, this is a show not to be missed.
