Andover’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by local Police Cadets, carried out a test purchase operation on Thursday afternoon targeting knife sales to underage individuals.
Out of eight shops tested, two retailers failed and were willing to sell a knife to a person under the age of 18.
Police have confirmed that both businesses will now face appropriate enforcement action, with further education and guidance provided to ensure legal compliance going forward.
The operation is part of a wider community effort to combat knife crime and protect young people from serious harm.
