Andover Campus Summer Dance Show “Noughties to Now” Wows Sell-Out Crowd

Audiences were left thoroughly impressed by the Andover Campus summer dance performance, “Noughties to Now,” which played to a sell-out crowd at The Lights Theatre and celebrated 25 years of chart-topping music through high-energy dance.

The show, produced by the college’s Creative and Performing Arts team, showcased the talent, dedication, and professionalism of the students, who had just five weeks of intense rehearsals to bring the production to life.

From the Noughties to Today – A Celebration in Movement

The 2025 performance featured a vibrant selection of music and choreography from the early 2000s right through to the present day, with costumes and stage design perfectly aligned with each era and track. From nostalgic pop hits to current chart favourites, the show offered something for every generation.

The audience was also invited to take part, with a fun interactive element that challenged viewers to guess the year of each song featured in the programme – a clever addition that added to the electric atmosphere of the night.

A Stage for Growth

The Lights Theatre, a key part of Andover’s cultural scene, provided the ideal setting for the students to shine. The show gave learners the chance to gain real-world performance experience, helping them build confidence and develop professionally within a live theatre environment.

Praise from the Creative Team

Alicia Barnett, Dance Lecturer and Founder of the Andover Youth Dance Company (AYDC), praised the students’ dedication:

“Our annual end-of-year dance show, themed Noughties to Now, was a great success, with diverse dance styles and impressive professionalism on display. The students worked incredibly hard to create an outstanding performance that they should be very proud of – and so am I.”
