Andover Radio is proud to announce that one of its most dedicated team members, Richard Belle, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the 2025 Community Radio Awards.

Richard has been recognised in the prestigious Volunteer of the Year category for his outstanding commitment to community broadcasting. A key member of the Andover Radio news team, Richard delivers daily local news bulletins on air and writes stories for the station’s website, helping to keep the people of Andover connected and informed.
The Community Radio Awards, now in their 10th year, celebrate excellence in community broadcasting across the UK. This year saw one of the highest number of entries in recent years, with nominees chosen from stations up and down the country. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Bradford on Saturday 25th October 2025, following the UK Community Radio Network Conference.
Commenting on the nomination, Andover Radio’s Ben Tuffin said:
“We couldn’t be prouder of Richard. His commitment, passion, and professionalism shine through everything he does. Richard is an essential part of our station and our community – his work truly makes a difference. To see him recognised on a national stage is fantastic, and we’re all rooting for him.”
Chair of the Awards, Rebecca Steers, added:
“The awards are a fantastic opportunity to reflect on the incredible impact community radio has across the UK. Being nominated is a huge achievement in itself. The station, its presenters and volunteers should be so proud of all that they do for their community, and for this nomination and the recognition for all their hard work.”
