Wiltshire Man Arrested After Hampshire Parcel Thefts – Including Thefts From Andover

A man from Wiltshire has been arrested after nearly one hundred parcels were reported stolen across Hampshire – a case that first came to light following concerns raised by Andover residents in Saxon Fields.

Earlier this month, we reported that households in Saxon Fields were experiencing issues with deliveries that were marked as “delivered” but never actually arrived. Photographic evidence supplied by the courier often showed parcels left in the same location, regardless of the individual property layout, raising suspicions among residents and prompting Hampshire Police to investigate.

Now, following a wider enquiry, officers have confirmed that a Wiltshire man has been taken into custody in connection with the disappearance of almost 100 parcels. The packages are believed to have been intercepted before reaching their intended recipients.

At this stage, police have not released details of the parcels’ contents or their total value, though they have reassured residents that the local delivery driver serving Saxon Fields is not a suspect and has been praised for his reliability.

The arrested man remains under investigation as detectives continue to examine whether others may have been involved and what became of the missing goods.

Residents who believe they may have been affected are encouraged to contact Hampshire Police on 101, quoting the relevant crime reference number, and to provide any supporting evidence such as delivery photographs, timestamps, or tracking details.

Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
