For 17 young athletes from Charlton Rocks Cheerleading Academy, the summer of 2026 promises to be unforgettable. In June, their elite competition travel team, CRC Hendrix, will board a flight to Lisbon to represent the UK at the inaugural European Summit Championships — a milestone moment not just for the club, but for each athlete who has earned their place on the mat.
CRC Hendrix is made up of athletes aged 12 to 16, all of whom have committed countless hours to training. Their days are filled with repetition, refinement and resilience as they prepare not only for this prestigious European event, but also for four major UK competitions along the way. It is dedication that goes far beyond the gym floor, demanding discipline, teamwork and belief.

What makes the European Summit Championships particularly special is its exclusivity. This is a bid-only competition, meaning teams are carefully selected to compete against the very best in the world of All Star cheerleading. For these young athletes, the opportunity to perform on an international stage, alongside world-class teams, is both an honour and a dream realised — and for many, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Behind the excitement, however, lies a significant financial challenge. International travel, accommodation, competition entry fees, choreography and music costs all add up quickly. Charlton Rocks’ aim is simple but vital: to make the trip as affordable and accessible as possible, ensuring that no athlete misses out due to cost.
To help achieve this, the club has launched a community fundraising campaign, including a raffle packed with family-friendly prizes. From leisure centre passes and soft play sessions to go-karting experiences, beauty vouchers, craft kits and children’s toys, the raffle reflects the generous support already shown by local businesses and supporters. Tickets are priced at just £2 each, with the draw taking place on Saturday 7th February 2026.
Every ticket bought, every donation made and every share on social media brings the team one step closer to Europe. More than fundraising, it is a collective show of belief in young people, in sport, and in the power of opportunity.
Charlton Rocks Cheerleading Academy prides itself on being an inclusive, welcoming club, offering high-quality training to athletes from the age of four upwards, regardless of previous experience. Cheer Stunt & Tumble combines gymnastics, acrobatics and dance into fast-paced routines that build confidence, skill and a strong sense of community — values clearly embodied by CRC Hendrix.

Whether through a donation, a raffle ticket or simply sharing the story, every gesture helps. For these 17 athletes, it could be the difference between watching from afar and stepping onto the European stage, proudly wearing their colours and representing the UK.
