The power of corporate volunteering has been brought sharply into focus after new figures revealed the remarkable contribution made to Enham Trust over the past year.

In 2025 alone, 510 individual corporate volunteers gave a combined 2,877 hours of their time to support projects across the Hampshire-based disability charity. That generosity equates to a value of more than £40,000 — funds that directly bolster essential services enabling disabled people to live, work and enjoy life to the full.
For a charity with more than a century of history, the impact is both practical and profound.
Founded over 100 years ago, Enham Trust has supported thousands of disabled people with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities. Its mission remains clear: disability should never be a barrier to living a full and happy life. Through personalised care, accessible environments and opportunities for education and employment, the Trust works to promote independence and achievement at every stage of life.
Corporate volunteers play a vital role in making that mission a reality.
From supporting residential care settings and housing projects to assisting with employment initiatives and community programmes, volunteers provide additional capacity that strengthens frontline services. Their contribution helps sustain a diverse range of support including Residential Care, Care at Home, Housing Support, Supported Employment, Direct Payments and Personal Health Budget assistance, the Skills2Achieve learning programme, an activities programme, Radio Enham, bespoke third-party logistics services within its social enterprise, and a broad calendar of fundraising and challenge events.
Beyond the financial value, the presence of corporate teams brings fresh energy, skills and connection between the business community and disabled people across Hampshire.
With demand for services continuing, the Trust is now calling on more businesses to step forward in 2026. Organisations looking to make a tangible difference to disabled people’s lives are encouraged to explore corporate volunteering opportunities.
Businesses interested in getting involved can contact corporatesupport@enhamtrust.org.uk or call the Fundraising Team on 01264 345800.
As the latest figures show, when businesses invest their time, the returns are measured not just in hours or pounds — but in independence, opportunity and improved quality of life for disabled people across the region.
