An internationally recognised adventurer will kick off his first-ever UK theatre tour in Andover later this year.
Jordan Wylie MBE will bring his inspiring live show Finding Purpose to The Lights Theatre on 22 September 2026, marking the opening night of his debut national tour.
Presented by Speakers From the Edge, the event promises an evening of powerful storytelling, charting Mr Wylie’s journey from military service to becoming one of the world’s most accomplished extreme adventurers.
Over the course of his career, Mr Wylie has travelled to more than 150 countries across all seven continents. His remarkable feats include running some of the coldest marathons on Earth, rowing across treacherous waters, climbing previously unexplored peaks, and attempting to become the first person to paddleboard around Britain.
The show will delve into the resilience and mindset required to overcome such challenges, while exploring how the outdoors can play a vital role in improving both mental and physical wellbeing. Through his experiences, Mr Wylie aims to encourage audiences to push boundaries, embrace alternative paths to success, and discover their own sense of purpose.
Speaking ahead of the tour, Mr Wylie said he was delighted to begin in Andover, a town he holds close to his heart.
He said: “I’m delighted to be starting in Andover as it’s been great to me over the last 15 years since I left the Army. So many local people and businesses have supported me over the years, and my daughter lives there too.”
Despite his experience as a public speaker, he admitted stepping onto the stage for a full theatre tour presents a new challenge.
“I don’t normally get nervous, but I do have a bit of imposter syndrome about my first public theatre tour. It’s new territory — but that’s where growth happens,” he added.
Mr Wylie is also widely recognised for his work supporting young people, particularly through his role as an ambassador for the Army Cadet Force. His message that success can be achieved through many different routes is expected to resonate strongly with teenagers and those who may not thrive in traditional classroom settings.
A spokesperson for The Lights said the venue was “thrilled” to host the opening night of the tour, adding that Mr Wylie’s story of endurance and determination is set to leave a lasting impression on audiences.
