An ambitious world-first expedition, “Xtreme Everest – Dead Sea to Death Zone,” has been officially launched by renowned adventurer and TV personality Jordan Wylie MBE, aiming to travel from the lowest point on Earth to the highest.

Announced on Monday 27 April 2026, the expedition will see Wylie journey from the Dead Sea (-430m), crossing continents by land and sea before culminating in a 2028 summit attempt of Mount Everest (8,848m).
The project is not solely focused on endurance. At its core is a mission to inspire young people and expand access to life-changing opportunities. Working in partnership with the Army Cadet Force, the expedition will provide ten cadets from across the UK with a fully funded trek to Everest Base Camp.
The selected cadets—representing regions including Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland—will take part in:
- A fully funded trek from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp
- Hands-on experience within a major expedition environment
- Opportunities to develop leadership, teamwork and resilience
The expedition will also raise funds for the Army Cadet Charitable Trust UK, supporting wider access to opportunities for young people nationwide.
Wylie, known for his appearances on Channel 4’s Hunted and Celebrity Hunted, said the expedition is about more than reaching the summit.
“This is about more than reaching the top of the world. It’s about helping others realise what they’re capable of. We will be opening the doors to opportunity for those young people from the most challenging backgrounds and some of the hardest to reach areas across the UK.”
Supporting the expedition is Andover-based businessman and philanthropist Sultan “Sid” Dajani, owner of the multi-award-winning Wainwrights Chemist.
Sid, a well-known figure in the local community, has built a strong reputation for backing charitable initiatives and supporting causes that make a difference both locally and beyond. His sponsorship of Xtreme Everest reflects his continued commitment to helping create opportunities for young people and supporting projects with a meaningful social impact.
Sid told us “When Jordan Wylie said he was going to do something bigger, I genuinely thought it was impossible. He’d already reached the summit of the extraordinary with the Antarctic Odyssey. Quite how one tops ice, isolation and the edge of human endurance is beyond most imaginations… I was wrong. Because Jordan keeps redefining the definition of imagination!
“This latest feat won’t simply raise the bar – it will carry it from the lowest point on earth to the highest. And, it calls for the strength of a modern-day Samson, the resolve of a pioneer, and a spirit that refuses to recognise limits. That’s Jordan in a nutshell. And, it’s a privilege to support him on his next historical adventure and raise money for a great cause”.

The expedition will also aim to challenge common misconceptions about the Army Cadets, highlighting its role as a youth organisation focused on personal development rather than military recruitment.
Over the next two years, Wylie will undertake extensive training across the UK, the Alps and the Himalayas in preparation for the challenge. The journey will be documented through a dedicated YouTube series, offering behind-the-scenes insight and educational content for young people across the country.
Xtreme Everest is supported by headline partner Dyno-Rod, alongside additional support from Wainwrights Chemist and The Ulysses Trust.
With its combination of extreme adventure and community-driven purpose, the expedition is set to capture attention across the UK—while inspiring the next generation to push beyond their limits.
