A man in his 50s was robbed after being assaulted in Andover, with police appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage as officers investigate the incident.
The robbery was reported to have taken place in New Street, near the junction with Corunna Main, at around 10.15pm on Saturday 25 July.
According to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, the victim was approached from behind by another man before being pushed to the ground and kicked.
The offender is reported to have stolen several items from the victim’s pockets, including a Samsung mobile phone in a black case, a bank card, a wallet containing around £35 in cash, and a keyring with keys and a bottle opener attached.
The suspect then left the scene on foot.
The victim sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment.
Police have confirmed that an investigation is now underway and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information that could assist officers to come forward.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the New Street area at the time or who may have been driving through the area and captured relevant dashcam footage.
