The Foresters Arms has once again shown the strength of its community spirit after an impressive £2,600 was raised at its annual Golf Society Charity Day.

The popular event brought together customers, local businesses, supporters and entertainers for a day of golf followed by an afternoon of entertainment at the Andover pub.
A total of £2,600 was raised on the day, with the money being added to the Foresters Arms’ ongoing fundraising pot.
The team at the Foresters thanked everyone who contributed to the success of the event, whether through sponsorship, buying tickets, supporting the fundraising or simply coming along and enjoying the afternoon.
Local musicians Paul Jude Wilson and Jake Ward provided the entertainment, while CPH, The Commercial Centre and Stacatruc were thanked for their sponsorship and support.
Special thanks were also given to Julie Duke, Kayleigh Cutting, Katy Arnold, Doris and Jasmine Taylor, alongside the Foresters Arms bar team and its customers, who helped make the day such a success.

The event comes at an exciting time for the Foresters Arms, with the venue currently a finalist in the Best Venue category at the inaugural Andover Music Awards.
There was an additional Andover Music Awards connection on the day, with both performers, Paul Jude Wilson and Jake Ward, named as finalists in the Best Male category.
The Foresters Arms is up against The Angel Inn and The Lights for Best Venue, while Wilson and Ward are joined by Shaun Bessant in the Best Male category.
With live local music at the heart of the charity afternoon and thousands of pounds raised for good causes, the event demonstrated exactly why the Foresters has earned its place among this year’s finalists.
The first Andover Music Awards, organised by Andover Radio and Love Andover, take place at The Lights on Tuesday 13 October, celebrating the musicians, performers, venues and organisations that make up the area’s music scene.
For the Foresters Arms, however, the annual Golf Society Charity Day was about giving something back.
The team said: “An amazing £2,600 was raised at the Foresters Arms Golf Society Charity Day. This will be added to our ongoing pot.
“We thank all those that contributed, sponsored, bought tickets, entertained and enjoyed the fantastic afternoon.”
It is another example of a local venue doing far more than simply serving drinks – bringing people together, supporting local talent and raising money along the way.
