Drivers in Andover are being warned of temporary road closures as essential gas network upgrade work gets underway this week.
SGN is carrying out work in the London Street area to upgrade the local gas network and help ensure homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable supply for years to come.
The work is due to begin on Wednesday, October 7, and is expected to continue until Friday, October 23, although the timetable could change if unforeseen problems arise.
As part of the work, London Street will be closed at its junctions with Wolversdene Road and Eastern Avenue. Signed diversion routes will be in place while the work is carried out, and access to properties for local residents will be maintained.
An SGN spokesperson said the company had worked closely with the local highways authority to plan the works and ensure they can be completed safely.
They added that SGN would keep the local community informed as the work progresses through its website and social media channels.
SGN has apologised for any disruption caused by the work and thanked residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and understanding while the essential upgrades are carried out.
