Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a spot of ping pong this summer, whether that’s a friendly knock-about or a more competitive match.
Andover Vision is preparing for a summer of outdoor table tennis this year as it reflects on the early success of the project and encourages more people to take up the sport.
There are two tables – one located outside Andover Leisure Centre and the other in the Pocket Park near to the town centre. They are free to use and equipment is available to borrow from the leisure centre reception and the Town Mills pub.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Phil North, said: “The tables were installed last year after the public voted for more outdoor sports facilities at an Andover Vision consultation event. They have been very popular and now that the weather is getting better, it’s the perfect opportunity to encourage more people to get outdoors in the fresh air and have some fun.”
