Abbotts Ann Cycles on Weyhill Road closed its doors for the last time on Saturday 1st September.

This is the second independent cycle shop in the town to close after Behind The Bikeshed in Marlborough Street closed back in February this year.

Abbotts Ann Cycles Facebook Post:

Abbotts Ann Cycles and Tubs will close the doors to the retail public as of September 01st 2018.

Sadly, It has become no longer viable to run a retail shop with only a very small core supporting the business.

To succeed at anything you need a desire and a passion. Sadly for me that’s been eroded away over the last year or so with an ever more difficult retail environment.

I have been trying hard to negotiate a sale of the shop with a major manufacturer but those negotiations have come to an end.

To those of you that have given us your support and custom and placed their trust in us I’d like to say Thank you.

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Maxine, Barry, Martin. Lili and Maisie, all of whom have put so much into the running of the shop.

If you have any outstanding workshop jobs or orders then these will be completed and honoured. All bikes need to be collected by the 7th September otherwise storage charges will be incurred at £5.00 per day.

Our EBay store will continue to clear stock so take a look. All accounts will be honoured.

All associations with ride outs/clubs etc are now ended.

Thruxton circuit will no longer be available for use on Wednesday evenings via Abbotts Ann Cycles.

We may have a stock clearance sale in the near future.

If you need to contact us do so via sales@abbottsanncycles.co.uk

I wish you the very best.
Will.
