Andover Armed Forces Day returns to Vigo Road Recreation Ground on Sunday 24th June 2018 and aims to be even bigger and better than last year.
Over 10,000 people visited last year‘s event and saw some great attractions including an Apache helicopter and a Watchmaker drone.
Attractions for the event this year will be released over the next few months, but will include a Red Arrows Flight Simulator.
Other confirmed attractions so far include:
- Essex Dog Display Team
- Royal Engineers’ interactive dive tank display
- Armoured/Plant Vehicle display
- ALIVE Amateur Boxing Club with ring
There will also be a huge amount of funfair rides, a beer tent and food from S&J Catering plus many other concessions on the day.
Andover’s Chelsea Pensioner Fred Abraham has confirmed he will be attending as will the Worshipful Mayor of Test Valley Mayor-in-waiting, Ian Carr.
Andover Armed Forces Day is again being run by Andover Radio in partnership with the Army Welfare Service. The event will run from 10:00am till 6:00pm.
Charities being supported this year include Veterans in Action, Royal British Legion and Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
