The first Andover Artisan Market for this year will be held in the High Street from 10am – 2pm on Sunday, 18 March and there will be everything from jewellery to bread, gin to candles, lawn care to seafood.
Go along, have a browse and show local small traders your support.
Over time the composition of the popular monthly Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Market has changed from predominantly food based to a more varied offering from local artisans, producers and crafts people. With this in mind, the market has been renamed The Andover Artisan Market in time for the 2018 season.
Many popular stallholders will be returning for the new market, including Oaktrack Smallholding, Love from Betty, The Gin Stall and A Basing Bakes with gorgeous gluten free baked goodies. Alongside them the market is delighted to welcome back Parsonage Farm with their local charcuterie range, and new stall holders Janet Mary Designs with beautiful flowers, and Rise and Shine Bake House.
Leader of the Council, Councillor Phil North said “I am delighted to see the market return for another successful year of trading, and with a new name that more accurately reflects the broad range of artisan products available.
“The markets involve many local traders and give customers the chance to buy local and support small local businesses. They are an important part of the wider calendar of High Street events in Andover.”
The musical backdrop for the first Artisan Market of the year will be provided by Jake Ward in the morning and Jayne Deer in the afternoon, singing a range of favourites in The Time Ring.
The Andover Artisan Market will take place on the third Sunday of each month from March until December, 2018, from 10am – 2pm.
