Tonight is the switch on the Andover Christmas Lights.

The impressive event in the High Street starts at 5pm with a firework finale at 7.30pm.

Organised by Test Valley Borough Council will again have the Big TV screen make sure that even those at the bottom of the High Street can have a view of the stage performances.

Portway Glee Club, Fair Play Performing Arts, Long Overdue Theatre School, Andover Rock Choir and local singer Maddison Douch will be performing on the stage and Father Christmas has promised to make a quick visit.

Love Andover is holding an after show party from 8:30pm upstairs at The Globe with local DJ’s Will Haven, D1gital Lee and Mr Twist.

With just 38 shopping days until Christmas, many local retailers will be open during the evening. The Valley Leisure Santa Fun Run is still accepting registrations.
