Andover expedition team escape serious injury in crash

Three members of the VIA team escaped serious injury when their vehicle rolled multiple times on Wednesday (12th September) near the village of Parsovići in Bosnia.

The team were on day 13 of their 6 week expedition heading for Sarajevo when the incident happened at around 5:45pm.

Mo Sweeney, Andover Radio director and on the expedition told Andover Radio what happened.

We were driving on an track when one of our vehicles hit a soft spot at the edge of the track which caused the vehicle to roll off. The vehicle rolled turning over 6 times there thankfully were no injuries but vehicle is written off.

The team came together and self recovered the vehicle and the local population came together to help the team and gave up their own houses to house the team from VIA for the night.

The spirits of the team are good and now looking for solutions to continue the expedition.
