Appeal Launched to Support Young Woman Raising Brother After Family Tragedy

A community fundraiser has been launched to support a young woman who has taken on the responsibility of raising her younger brother following the tragic loss of both their parents.

Ada, whose father passed away nine years ago and whose mother sadly died last month, has stepped forward to provide a home and future for her 14-year-old brother, Max. Their mother had returned to Poland with Max a year ago, but after this most recent tragedy, Ada brought him back to the UK in the hope of offering him stability and care.

Now facing life without their parents, the siblings are starting again from scratch. Ada is determined to raise Max in a safe and loving environment, but with no financial support, she faces a difficult challenge. Essentials such as food, school supplies, and basic household needs are urgently required as the pair adjust to their new life together.

A fundraiser has been set up by family friend Joanna Jelonek, who is appealing to the public for support. Joanna said:
“Ada’s parents lost their battle with depression. Despite this heartbreaking situation, Ada is fighting to build a future for her brother. She is incredibly strong, but she needs help to provide Max with a stable home.”

The fundraiser aims to give Ada and Max the foundations they need during this difficult time, ensuring that Max can continue his education and that both siblings can begin to rebuild their lives together.

Joanna added:
“Ada is only just starting out herself, but her determination to look after her brother is inspiring. Any support, big or small, will make a huge difference.”
