St George is the patron saint of England and famously sleighed a dragon. The tale is a simple a way to symbolise the triumph of good over evil.

Baden-Powell is the Scout founder he believed the legend of Saint George set a good example of faith, courage and perseverance for future generations. So every year its marked in the scouting calender with a march and celebration.
This year in Andover it will take place on Sunday 22nd April 2018. It starts at East street car park at 230pm, and they will walk to St Marys church for a service. Then will walk from St Marys about 4pm through Andover town, finishing at the Town mills car park.
