Drivers are facing significant delays on the A303 this morning, with traffic at a standstill following a serious incident on the carriageway. A substantial emergency services presence has been reported, and all lanes are currently closed while crews respond.
A comment from the South East National Highways Press Office details current diversion plans:
“The eastbound diversion route is following the hollow circle – From the A303 eastbound, leave at the A34 Bullington Cross interchange. At the roundabout, use the 1st exit and continue on a link road to a further roundabout. Pass beneath the A34 and A303. Use the 2nd exit and join the A34 southbound dual carriageway. Follow the A34 for approximately 8 miles to the M3 junction 9 interchange. At the roundabout, use the 1st exit and join the M3 northbound. Follow the M3 for approximately 12 miles to junction 8. The A303 and M3 merge. Continue on the M3 northbound to complete the diversion.”
