Entries Open for Andover Triathlon Club’s Popular Annual Event This July

Triathletes of all abilities are being encouraged to sign up for Andover Triathlon Club’s annual triathlon event, which returns to the stunning grounds of Farleigh School in Red Rice on Sunday 12th July.

Widely regarded as one of the friendliest events on the local sporting calendar, the Andover Triathlon welcomes both first-time competitors and experienced athletes to take on a challenge in the picturesque Hampshire countryside of the Test Valley.

The event will see adult races taking place during the morning, followed by junior races in the afternoon, offering a fantastic day of sporting action for participants and spectators alike.

Competitors can choose between two race distances, with a relay option also available for those who would prefer to tackle the challenge as part of a team.

The Classic Distance consists of a 440-metre pool swim, a 30-kilometre bike ride and an 8-kilometre run. Those looking for a shorter challenge can enter the Sprint Distance, which includes a 440-metre pool swim, an 18-kilometre bike ride and a 5-kilometre run.

Organisers say the event is known not only for its scenic course but also for its welcoming atmosphere, enthusiastic volunteers and supportive marshals who help make race day a memorable experience.

The swim section takes place in Farleigh School’s 22-metre pool, with competitors asked to provide an estimated 400-metre swim time when entering.

In addition to the individual races, the popular mixed relay event will once again feature, allowing friends, families and colleagues to share the challenge between them.

Andover Triathlon Club hopes to attract a strong field of competitors from across Hampshire and beyond, while continuing its tradition of providing a fun, friendly and professionally organised event.
