Finalists Announced for 2025 Hampshire Hospitals People Awards

The shortlist for the 2025 Hampshire Hospitals People Awards has been revealed – and it includes a wide range of clinical and non-clinical staff from across the Trust’s hospitals in Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.

Now in its annual celebration of excellence, the People Awards shine a spotlight on the people who help Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) deliver outstanding care every day. This year’s awards received a record-breaking 833 nominations from patients, members of the public, and NHS colleagues.

The awards span 13 categories, covering everything from patient experience and innovation to collaboration, inclusivity, and leadership. The “Rising Star” and “Lifetime Contribution” categories continue to attract attention, while newer categories such as “WOW of WOWs” and “Chief Executive” awards highlight individual excellence across all departments and roles.

Alex Whitfield, Chief Executive at HHFT, said:

“It is wonderful to see so many colleagues and teams recognised and celebrated through our Hampshire Hospitals People Awards this year. After receiving more than 800 nominations, selecting our award finalists was harder than ever before, with so many incredible stories shared and achievements highlighted from across the Trust.”

The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony on Thursday 26 June.

The Hampshire Hospitals People Awards are proudly funded by Hampshire Hospitals Charity, which supports patients, staff and volunteers across the Trust.
