Families looking for something to keep the children entertained over the summer holidays will have plenty to look forward to, as High Score Arcades in Andover has announced a packed programme of events and extended opening hours.

The popular arcade will be open every day throughout the school holidays from Thursday 23rd July until Wednesday 2nd September, giving visitors more opportunities to enjoy its wide range of retro and modern arcade games.
Opening hours will be:
- Monday to Wednesday: 10am – 6.30pm
- Thursday and Friday: 10am – 8pm
- Saturday: 10am – 6.30pm
- Sunday: 10am – 4pm
Throughout the summer, special activities will take place every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, all included within the standard session ticket.
Mondays will feature Monday Madness, with visitors receiving an extra 30 minutes of gaming free when booking a 90-minute session.
On Wednesdays, guests can take part in Beat The Team, challenging a member of staff to a one-on-one game of their choice. Anyone who wins will receive a free ticket for their next visit.
Fridays bring Beat The Pro, where players can attempt to beat the arcade team’s highest scores. Successful challengers will also earn a free return ticket, with unlimited attempts available during their session.
Every Sunday morning from 10am until 11am, High Score Arcades will host a dedicated SEN Quiet Hour. During this session, machine volumes will be reduced, capacity will be limited and the main lights will remain on, creating a more accessible environment for visitors with additional sensory needs.
One of the highlights of the summer will see the return of Mario and Luigi, who will be visiting the Andover arcade on Thursday 20th August between 10am and 6.30pm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the iconic gaming duo, take photographs and enjoy interactive challenges, with the chance to win free tickets during the day.
High Score Arcades has become a popular family attraction in Andover since opening earlier this year, and the summer programme is designed to give local families even more reasons to visit during the school holidays.
