Horse Racing Night Raises £830 for The Abel Foundation

The Royal British Legion Club in Andover was filled with excitement and generosity as supporters gathered for this year’s Annual Horse Racing event, raising an impressive £830 for The Abel Foundation.

Guests enjoyed a lively evening of entertainment, with virtual horse racing and bingo games provided by Mr Carl Borg-Neal. The atmosphere was further enhanced by a delicious meal from The Travelling Cupcake Andover, who generously donated their catering service to support the charity. The Royal British Legion kindly offered their venue for the occasion, ensuring the community could come together to support a worthy cause.

The Abel Foundation supports families living with mitochondrial disease, a rare and life-limiting condition. The charity provides financial assistance, respite breaks, and vital resources to help improve the quality of life for those affected, while also raising awareness about the condition.

Claire Noakes, Chairman of The Abel Foundation and mother of Abel Noakes, after whom the charity is named, said:
“We are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown at this event. The support from our community means so much to families living with mitochondrial disease, and every penny raised helps us continue to make a difference.”
