Jordan Wylie MBE Shortlisted for Outdoor Personality of the Year in National Awards

The shortlisting comes as Jordan is currently in Antarctica, where he is attempting to climb a previously unclimbed peak to raise money for the Army Cadet Force, one of the nation’s largest youth organisations for which he serves as national ambassador.

Well known for his writing, charitable expeditions and television appearances – including Channel 4’s BAFTA-nominated programmes Hunted and Celebrity Hunted – Jordan has become one of the UK’s most recognisable modern adventurers. The nomination marks another milestone in a career dedicated to exploration, education and youth development.

The Great Outdoors Reader Awards, now in their 14th year, celebrate the people, places and organisations shaping outdoor life across the UK. The Outdoor Personality of the Year category focuses on individuals who have inspired the public through their achievements and impact during 2025.

Jordan’s nomination reflects his continued work pushing the boundaries of exploration while raising awareness and support for young people. His latest Antarctic endeavour, delivered in partnership with Shackleton and ALE (Antarctica Logistics & Expeditions), aims to break new ground in polar exploration.

Whether he will take home the title will depend on public votes, which remain open until Sunday 7 December at midnight.
