Kids on Track Celebrates 10 Years of Supporting Andover’s Young People

A decade after launching with a vision to support young people in Andover, Kids on Track (KoT) is celebrating 10 years of helping local children build confidence, develop life skills and create lasting friendships.

Since being founded in 2016, the organisation has grown from a small community initiative into a thriving programme offering weekly clubs, activities and four camps each year. Over the past decade, more than 185 local children have benefited from the support and opportunities provided by KoT, helping to keep young lives on a positive path.

The charity’s impact over the years has been significant, with 100 per cent of children involved saying they developed new social skills. Meanwhile, 87 per cent reported increased confidence, and 91 per cent said KoT had taught them how to work as part of a team.

The organisation says its impact continues to grow year-on-year. Over the last 12 months alone, Kids on Track delivered 1,917 hours of engagement through its Senior Programme — an increase from 1,659 hours in 2024.

KoT has also seen strong repeat attendance from children struggling with school attendance and commitment, while its camps recorded their highest-ever participation levels. This year, 59 out of 60 available places were filled, marking a 23 per cent increase in attendance over the last six years.

As the charity marks its 10th anniversary, organisers are taking the opportunity to celebrate not only the achievements of the programme itself, but also the committee members, volunteers, supporters and young people who have helped shape Kids on Track into what it is today.

Founder Kiki Godson reflected on the milestone and the organisation’s journey over the past decade.

“It’s hard to believe that 10 years ago Kids on Track began as a small idea to support a handful of children in Andover,” she said.

“Today, thanks to our incredible team, supporters and especially our amazing KoT children, it has grown into something truly special. We’re so proud of what’s been achieved over the last decade and excited for the future ahead.”
