Shoppers in Andover and across the UK are being urged to check their kitchen appliances following a product recall issued by Lidl GB.

The supermarket has issued a safety alert for the Tower 8Ltr Dual Basket Air Fryer (model T17129L), which is being recalled due to a potential fire hazard caused by overheating.
All stock of this particular model sold in Lidl GB stores is affected, although no other Tower products are involved in the recall. Customers are advised to stop using the affected air fryer immediately.
The recall notice states:
“Our supplier is recalling the above-mentioned product due to risk of overheating, which could present a fire hazard. If you own one of the affected models, please stop using it immediately.”
Customers who purchased the air fryer should contact the supplier via www.tower-safety.co.uk to confirm whether their unit is impacted and to receive instructions for returning the product.
Lidl has confirmed that a full refund will be issued, and receipts are not required.
The company apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their cooperation.
