The Abel Foundation has announced that this year’s Music at the Manor has raised an incredible £10,000 to support families affected by Mitochondrial Disease, following what organisers described as a hugely successful day of live music, entertainment and community spirit.

Held earlier this month, the annual fundraising event brought hundreds of people together for an afternoon and evening of entertainment, featuring performances from talented local musicians Georgie Amelia as Incolour, Lizzie Cullen, Jake Ward and the Covergirlz, alongside spectacular tribute acts Maybe Gaga, celebrating the music of Lady Gaga, and Queen Rocks, performing the iconic hits of Queen.
The event was organised by The Abel Foundation and once again highlighted the generosity of the local community, with volunteers, supporters, sponsors and attendees all playing their part in helping raise a significant amount for the charity.

Claire Noakes, Chair of The Abel Foundation and mother to Abel, said the charity had been overwhelmed by the support shown throughout the event.
“Following a hugely successful Music at the Manor 2026 event, The Abel Foundation is proud to announce that an extraordinary £10,000 has been raised to support families affected by Mitochondrial Disease. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the power of community, compassion and collective effort.”

She added:
“This level of support is truly overwhelming. Knowing how far these funds will go — and the real impact they will have on Mito families — fills us with immense gratitude and joy.”
Mrs Noakes also paid tribute to the many people who worked behind the scenes to make the event possible.
“We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our incredible Abel Foundation Trustees, committee members, helpers, supporters, sponsors and followers. Your dedication, hard work and unwavering belief in our mission made this event not only possible, but unforgettable. Every hour spent setting up, every moment of clearing down and every act of support all mattered, and it all contributed to this phenomenal result.”

She also thanked Sid Dajani for once again hosting the event.
“A very special thank you goes to Mr Sid Dajani, whose generosity in allowing us to use his beautiful home grounds made Music at the Manor possible. His continued support for our charity is deeply appreciated.”
Concluding her message, Mrs Noakes said:
“Together, we have created something truly special — and together, we are making a real difference.”
A photograph accompanying the announcement shows Abel alongside his mother, Claire Noakes, just moments before Music at the Manor got underway. Although Abel only made a brief appearance at the event named in his honour, his presence served as a poignant reminder of the charity’s mission and the families it continues to support.

The £10,000 raised will help The Abel Foundation continue its work supporting families living with Mitochondrial Disease while raising awareness of the rare genetic condition across the UK.
