New pet service for Andover launches

Perkins Pet Services: New Andover business
Perkins Pet Services (L-R): Cllr Lynn, Kelly Perkins and Cllr Budzynski

A new Andover resident has settled into the town by launching a business to help dog owners care for their pets.

Kelly Perkins set up Perkins Pet Services when she moved to Andover from Hertfordshire late last year. Her new company offers dog walking, boarding and minding, as well as tailored support such as taking the animals to the vet when needed.

Winton ward councillors Chris Lynn and Jan Budzynski presented Kelly with Test Valley Borough Council’s £750 Business Incentive Grant. They said: “Kelly is incredibly experienced and qualified, and has worked really hard to launch Perkins Pet Services.

“She has a fantastic home, equipped with everything she needs to run the business effectively and we wish her all the best for the future.”

Kelly said: “I’m really pleased that I’ve been able to open my own business. I am licensed with the council to walk and board dogs, I’m DBS checked, insured and canine first-aid trained with a real love of animals. So if you are looking for some help, please get in touch.”

Kelly also offers pet visits for anyone who needs someone to pop in to their home for half an hour while they are out.

The Council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive a grant of £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
