New Signage Coming to Harmony Woods to Enhance Visitor Experience

New signage will soon be installed at Harmony Woods in Andover, helping visitors to better understand, explore and appreciate the much-loved community woodland.

From June onwards, a collection of beautifully designed information boards, trail markers and interpretive panels will appear across the 44-acre site, thanks to support from the Parish and Town Council Investment Fund.

Managed by local charity Andover Trees United, Harmony Woods has been shaped over the past 15 years by schoolchildren, volunteers, and local environmental champions. The new signage is the latest step in transforming the area into a welcoming, educational and ecologically rich space for the whole community.

Speaking on behalf of Andover Trees United, Wendy Davis said:

“We’re thrilled to see this next step in elevating Harmony Woods to become an important rewilding site and locally recognised Nature Reserve in the heart of the Test Valley.”

The signs will highlight everything from biodiversity and reforestation to the role of local schools and volunteers in ongoing conservation work. They will also help walkers navigate the woodland trails, provide illustrated maps, and encourage responsible visiting through key messages about protecting nature.

Birdwatchers, families, walkers and conservation volunteers all make regular use of Harmony Woods – a green space that continues to grow as both a sanctuary for wildlife and a place of learning and wellbeing.

Each new sign has been built to withstand the elements, ensuring they will last for years to come and continue to inform and inspire visitors.

Between now and early June, Andover Trees United will share more updates about the ongoing improvements and the people behind them. The message remains clear: nature and people thrive together when we all play our part.
