Andover was well and truly brought to life on Carnival Day as thousands lined the streets to enjoy a colourful celebration of community spirit.
A trickle of rain did little to dampen the excitement, with crowds turning out in force to enjoy the sights, sounds and fun of one of the town’s biggest annual events.
Music filled the air all day long, with three buzzing stages spread across town — the ATC Stage in the High Street, the Andover Radio/Love Andover Stage on London Street, and the ever-popular KJM Stage at Vigo Park. Each stage showcased fantastic live performances, creating an unbeatable atmosphere that echoed across Andover.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the procession, which was alive with creativity, colour and energy. Floats from local groups, schools and organisations wowed spectators and brought smiles to faces young and old.
A huge well done goes to the organisers for once again putting on a brilliant event, and to everyone who came along to show their support.
This year’s carnival is proudly supporting two incredible charities: Simon Says Child Bereavement Support and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance – both of which will benefit from the day’s success.
Our photographer Jez Rolfe was out and about capturing some of the magic – check out our gallery below for a glimpse into the fun and festivities!
