Pilgrims Way man fined for threatening behaviour

Matthew Jamie Doyle from Pilgrims Way in Andover has been fined more than £700 after he pleaded guilty to threatening or abusive behaviour.

27 year old Doyle appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. The incident happened on 30th August 2016. He was fined a total of £150.

Doyle also pleaded guilty to a similar incident involving a different victim on Friday, November 30 last year. He was given a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting the victim until further notice and fined a total of £575, including a £400 fine, a victim services surcharge of £40 and costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
