On Thursday 21 August, the Northern Neighbourhood Enforcement Team and District Policing Team patrolled areas in Basingstoke, Hart & Rushmoor, Winchester, and Test Valley.

The patrols were intelligence-led, with locations chosen based on recent information gathered by officers.

In total, six men were arrested during the day. They have since either appeared in court or been transferred to another police force.

Police Sergeant Nikki Hopkins, from the Northern Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, said:

“Our teams have been out in a number of areas in northern Hampshire to specifically target those wanted for failing to appear at court.
I’m pleased to say that the operation was a huge success, with officers arresting six men.

“We wanted to carry out this operation to be a visible presence and to let people know that if you fail to appear in court – we will look for you, and we will find you.”

The operation underlines Hampshire Constabulary’s commitment to ensuring offenders face justice and highlights the importance of community cooperation in keeping local areas safe.
