Rudolph’s Little Helpers Dash to Raise Over £7,200 for Countess of Brecknock Hospice

This Christmas, Andover was alive with festive spirit as more than 750 children from two nurseries and four schools took part in Rudolph Runs to raise money for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice.

The children, dressed as Rudolph with antlers and red noses, dashed through their events with joy and enthusiasm, all in support of this vital local charity.

The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides palliative care to adults with life-limiting illnesses, offering compassion and support to patients and their families when it’s needed most. Thanks to the incredible efforts of the children and their communities, an impressive £7,200 has been raised so far to help the hospice continue its essential work.

A standout moment this year came from Harrow Way Community School, where staff and Year 7 pupils joined forces to raise an incredible £3,255 during their Rudolph Run. A photo of the group, full of smiles and festive cheer, captures the pride and determination behind their amazing achievement.

The hospice expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all the children, staff, and families who took part, as well as those who donated and supported the fundraiser. The success of the Rudolph Runs is a shining example of Andover’s community spirit and generosity.

This fantastic total will go directly towards supporting the hospice’s palliative care services, helping to provide comfort, dignity, and support to those facing challenging times. This Christmas, Andover has shown that the true magic of the season lies in giving—and in the joy of coming together to make a difference.
