St Hubert Lodge in Andover has proudly presented a cheque for £6,500 to Andover NeighbourCare, following a successful Black Tie charity evening held in April 2025 at Newbury Racecourse.

The event, organised by Worshipful Master Martin Ricketts and Charity Steward Tim Baxter, featured an auction of promises and a lively evening of entertainment, The tribute band to Frankie Vali and 4 seasons played on the night. Guests were generous in their support of the chosen charity, Andover NeighbourCare — Martin’s selected cause for his year in office.
The evening’s fundraising success was boosted by ticket sales for Oasis at The 02 performances and various horse-related activities. The organisers also expressed their gratitude to Newbury Racecourse for providing the stunning venue and assisting with event arrangements.
Martin Ricketts commented:
“It was an unbelievable event. We were lucky that Newbury Racecourse let us use the owners and trainers location, where we enjoyed an amazing dinner and a fantastic tribute band that entertained guests throughout the evening. The generosity of those who attended made this event such a success — it’s an incredible total for a typical black tie function.”
Pam from Andover NeighbourCare shared her appreciation for the donation, saying:
“We are incredibly grateful for such a large donation, which will be put to good use in the local community. We’re hoping to open a coffee morning location for people living with dementia and their carers. This donation will help make that vision a reality and enhance the lives of those we support.”
The substantial contribution highlights St Hubert Lodge’s continued commitment to supporting community initiatives and improving local services across Andover.
