As the end of nomination period closes in, the Pride of Andover Awards are proud to announce that The DeeDee Trust will be sponsoring this year’s Services Award category.
The Services Award acknowledges an individual or a group from the public or private sector who have gone beyond what is expected within their job that has impacted people’s lives.
By being nominated, individuals have the opportunity to be shortlisted for this award. On our recent launch we got the chance to speak with DeeDee from The DeeDee Trust, DeeDee is an 8 year old girl who is determined to share her passion for saving the Earth and making a difference, not just in our local community, but across the world, DeeDee shared: “The DeeDee Trust helps adults and children to help the earth, to educate and inspire all ages, including those from a young age.”
DeeDee was joined by Samantha, who shared of the nominations: “Please nominate, it’s fantastic to be able to put forward the people that are doing more for the community, those that go above and beyond. The nominations last year were fantastic with the Vaccination Centre winning the Services Award, we know there are many people that are out there doing lots of great things and deserve to be nominated.”
When asked what the representatives of The DeeDee Trust enjoy of the event, Samantha said: “Meeting people and Networking, to be honest the winners are so inspirational, listening to what people do and how they impact our community, they are all so deserving, the highly commended and the winners, it is just a fantastic and inspiring event, it can bring a tear to your eye some of the amazing things you hear.”
