A brand-new event is coming to the local calendar this summer – and it’s set to be a showstopper. Thruxton Retro, a three-day family-friendly festival celebrating music, motorsport, and all things vintage, will roar into life from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 June 2025 at Thruxton Circuit.

Set against the backdrop of the iconic race track, Thruxton Retro blends classic motor racing with live music, entertainment, and retro fun for all ages. Whether you’re a petrolhead, disco lover or simply after a great day out with the family, there’ll be something to enjoy across the entire weekend.
Themed around the fabulous Superfunk era of the 1970s, the festival promises a nostalgic nod to a decade of unforgettable music and unforgettable fashion. Visitors are even encouraged to don their flares, sequins, and grooviest retro gear for a weekend of dancing, exploring and celebrating summer.
Alongside the trackside thrills, visitors can expect a jam-packed programme of activities, from live bands and DJs to vintage vehicle displays, circus skills, family workshops, food stalls and even a silent disco.
Children aged 15 and under go free, making Thruxton Retro an affordable day out or weekend break for families. Standard adult tickets start from just £15 for Friday and £35 for Saturday or Sunday, with full weekend passes available at £60.
Ben Taylor, Chief Executive of BARC Thruxton, said:
“The Thruxton Retro is going to be a fantastic weekend full of fun, music and some great historic motor sport. There are loads of people who like old cars and bikes and planes; and there’s another group who love the festival vibe of music, food and drink. We’ve got all of that and more, as we show that Thruxton is not just for motor racing fans.”
Tickets are on sale now from the Thruxton Race Circuit website.
